I can't believe there's people out there who hate the story. It moved me to tears! I thought it was beautiful.

I agree. I thought this was one of the best film-stories I'd seen in recent memory. Perhaps I enjoy the darkness of fairy tale worlds in general -- I'm quite drawn to that sort of thing -- but it had such depth. It was a film with such a beautiful soft heart, which must have been difficult to accomplish in such a disturbing and otherwise hopeless setting.

i remember being so moved by this film & achieving a weird clarity afterwards. i saw it with my mom too & that was nice.
