I really should give this another go. I've seen it, but I don't remember much about it, and as such, my feelings towards it are rather ambivalent.

Oh, God, I love this movie so much I can barely stand it. To be honest, I think the plot is good, but only because I LOVE the Philip Marlowe books (I think I've read all of them xD). But I agree - Bacall is amazing. Even at twenty she was beautiful and mature far beyond her years. I adore the love story with her and Bogart.

But yes, Bacall is probably one of my favorite actresses. She's gorgeous and wonderful and it's just such a pleasure seeing her on the screen.
