Watching Singin' in the Rain always makes me nostalgic...

So this is basically for my future reference. Taking siochembio up on her challenge of reviewing my Top 25 28 movies requires first deciding which films make the cut. Now, this is heavily skewed thanks to the lateness of the evening, the fact that I'm sort of in a funk, and over-all braindeadness.

Excellent list! I still need to see The Devil's Backbone: one of my brothers got it for my dad a while back, and I have yet to "borrow" it from him. Which is a shame, really.

I vote for the use of the alphabet. Because that's what it's for.

Why don't you order them chronologically?

Interesting that Evil Dead II is on there. I have seen Evil Dead and Army of Darkness, but not Evil Dead II. I understand that Raimi basically remade the first movie when he made the second (Rob's a BIG fan - Army of Darkness used to be his favorite movie ever... I think it's been replaced by Memento. Rob can talk about Memento for hours on end. It's pretty cool, actually, because he's not really a movie person). I'd like to hear your take on that, why II makes your cut but not the first, etc. etc.

AND I'd love to hear you talk about Arsenic and Old Lace which, to me, is a great movie when Cary Grant is onscreen, but kinda boring when he's not. Why that particular Grant film?

Review! Review away! Yay for lists and talking about movies!!!!!!

Hmmmm, chronologically is intriguing... I may have to do that!

And I shall have to address those questions in my Evil Dead II and Arsenic and Old Lace reviews! If you have any other questions re: the other films, I'd looooove to hear them!

...And now that I've thought about it some more I really wonder if Amelie should have made the cut...
