I am not complaining that 'Crash' won; I just felt more emotionally invested in 'Brokeback Mountain'. I strongly believe 'Crash' is a very important (and well done) film.
And it could have been worse - 'Munich' could have won best picture.
And I enjoyed the montages too ... I don't understand why they did so many, but I enjoyed them nonetheless:)
I actually think BBM only BARELY edged out Crash as per my emotional involvement. I found myself INCREDIBLY invested in Crash, and that's what surprised me about it - it was both incredibly suspenseful and emotional.
