please note how the writer points out that giving civil unions out instead of civil marriage is deferring gays to a 2nd rate citizen process. segregation didn't work before, and it won't work now. I refuse to accept anything short of full status, whether name, benefits or whatever. let it be known that just because you're straight, gay or whatever
