Only problem is, I find that this one isn't as funny as usual, and I suspect it's because I didn't like the original:

A Christmas Story
A Muppet Christmas Carol

and a guilty enjoyment of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

A Christmas Story every time. (See also here.)

Also, James Bond movies. Somehow, decorating the tree just isn't the same without martinis being sipped, improbably-named women being seduced, and kerosene-filled vehicles exploding in the background.

Darn, no animated specials? well, OK. I can think of two:

Die Hard...
And Rocky IV.

Oh! and I do have one that's actually sweet. If you've never seen Love Actually... see it. It's British, it's R-rated but would be perfectly OK on Brit telly, if you get my drift, and... British prime ministers for the win. British humor for the win. Very sweet. Without being too embarrassing for us guys.

Yes! Love Actually! I'd forgotten to put that on my list.

You do realize that no less an authority than Connie Willis has conclusively shown that Miracle on 34th Street is a better movie than It's A Wonderful Life, right?

I have to agree on the original Miralce on 34th Street. I'd like to add A Christmas Carol, the one starring Alistair Sim to be specific. The Nightmare Before Christmas is another great one as well. :)

The muscial Scrooge, which I haven't seen in years, is another good one too. Man there were a lot of great Christmas movies.
