Superb Owl

There is, apparently, some sporting event or other today. I suspect it has something to do with Tom Riddle, as the organizers get very touchy when someone tries to actually use the name of the thing. Fortunately, a simple slide of one letter to the left produces Superb Owl, a much more glorious thing to celebrate ( Read more... )

We're at a housefilk for a good chunk of the day (hopefully avoiding the crowds in our journey to Brooklyn), and should be home in time for me to see the second half should it be a good game. I am a big football fan, but the bloat of the Super Bowl, the endless halftime show, the usually witless ads, none of it grabs me unless there is actually a good game happening. And at the end of the day, I still prefer baseball, which doesn't suffer from the excess.

BTW, Tom, any reaction to JKR's comments about Harry and Hermione, being that you have always shipped them?

Warehouse 13/baking marathon.

Also, WTF is up with Natasha's stance/walk in the still? That has to be one of the least stable poses I have ever seen on a heroine who wasn't anitmated.

What are you implying? It's not as if they Photoshopped one of the most beautiful and recognizable women in the --

Oh.

Yeah, it's pretty damn stupid. Nothing up yet at The Hawkeye Initiative about it, but it shouldn't be too long.

Yeah, and even beyond the photoshopping, the actual pose - ugh. Granted, it's not a boobs-and-butt pose, but it's still not exactly a powerful or even stable stance, is it?

Hang around the house. Lizzie is feeling better. I'm still stuck inside for a few days.

Dude, you know that if they could, they'd pipe football 24/7. At least this is it for a few months.

I'm not sure what all I'll be doing. I spent nearly all of yesterday at the computer playing games and such so I don't really want to do it two days in a row. I think I'll go outside for a short walk (I hope all the sidewalks have been shoveled by now). Maybe make a fast trip to the market for some things. Hopefully get a jump on the end-of-weekend chores. Generally not try to spend the day sitting and staring at a screen. It's fun to do every once in a while, but I need variety ( ... )
