See, this is what happens when I don't pay attention: DC Nation (on the Cartoon Network) starts cranking out quick episodes of Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld.

Let me repeat that: AMETHYST: PRINCESS OF GEMWORLD.

If, somehow, you never read this comic, let me say it again: AMETHYST: PRINCESS OF GEMWORLDSometimes, the universe is very kind ( Read more... )

I'm prolly too late to be noticed, but they did do Ambush Bug on the last episode of Batman:Brave and the Bold.

I just about fell out of my chair.

Same here. Loved the way he exploited various tropes and gamed the system. That's why I'd like to see them give him an animated series.

I would agree but A:EMH has a sequel series Avengers Assemble because of the movie. Young Justice gets a SD Teen Titans replacement with its own continuity which is supposed to be just the drama of a superteam without fighting the supervillains.

ETA I didn't start watching A:EMH until after it ended. I don't know how sudden or unexpected its cancellation was. YJ gave me the impression that it could do on longer and that it got the axe with little/no warning. I liked Avengers more, but at least it's getting a sequel/continuation. YJ is doing more world-building and character development and taking a slower pace. The charm of Avengers was that it was fast paced and had a chance to end with a bang that couldn't really go anywhere else.

A story has a beginning middle and end. A:EMH just had a shorter, more concentrated, story.
