I am greatly looking forward to WindyCon next weekend in Lombard, IL. Seanan, Amy, Evil Stevie. Saturday concert, Saturday night at the masquerade, possibly a staff/guests concert right about now next Thursday.

But mostly, I am greatly looking forward to WindyCon because our long national nightmare election will be over ( Read more... )

The rudest thing ever on TV ever ... In which poor Wayne ends up in the fetal position on his chair by the end of the show

Yes, the Richard Simmons episode.

The scene where my husband posts MY favorite clip...without saying a word to me first about it. Yup, this is our life. *gigglebounce*

Between this and the Robin Williams episode, I'm amazed I'm not on oxygen.

Me and some friends are low on cash this year so we're having a small get together the weekend of Windy at their house so we'll miss it. We're doing an anime/paper RPG gaming marathon.

It's going to be an interesting weekend.

Thank you. I am scared about what is going to happen next Tuesday with the problems in New England and the voter suppression and all the political crap from the right. I need some sanity.

Also the schedule for Windycon is up for those attending wishing to plan their day. Unfortunately there are conflicts (aren't there always). For me it's feast or famine as every hour I either have to play favorites or do nothing. At no point is there one, and only one, thing I want to do.

Tom, would you be offended if I skipped your Masquerade concert to attend two concerts by other filkers to support the up and coming filkers?

On a side note, I posted to the Filk Community LJ about filk podcasts. I got a tremendous response. Enough so that I think there is a call for a new monthly filk-oriented podcast. Once City of Heroes is done I may just try my hand at podcasting.

If there will be samples from up and coming filkers, sign me up!

Actually Windycon has been getting better about filk these past few years. They're signing up new people and bringing back old favorites. And most/all the concerts are in the same general area so you don't have to go back and forth across the hotel to attend all of them. I counted 12 concerts plus Tom's second performance at the Masquerade plus two open filks (and no conflicts if you discount the Masquerade).

I was referring to the podcast. Too far away to make Windycon.

Can't find the clip, but my favorite all time moment had to be the Film, TV, and Movie Styles with Ryan and Greg when the last style called out was 'Greek Tragedy.' All Greg said was "Testicles!" (pronounced 'Tess-tea-clees') and Ryan waddled over with his legs wide apart...and that was it. Instant hilarity.

Pretty much any Scenes From a Hat or Wayne Brady singing moment ("Leonard the Lawyer...he'll lock you up faster than *fwoosh*!")

In other news, going to see Springsteen tomorrow night. Rock on!

Did someone say Scenes from a Hat?

Here, have two solid hours.

I watch these at least once a week, and they never get old.

Oh my. I have a top three, in no particular order:

Questionable Impressions where Jeff Davis does an amazing Jeff Goldblum:

Press Conference where Colin Mochrie is having Clive Anderson's love child:

Hoedown about Colin Mochrie:
