I admire his restraint. I would have pointed out this is a problem that goes further up the chain of command than one cardinal and is becoming inherant in the power structure of the church. Morality has to make sense and must adjust with changing times. If they don't want to recognize the personhood of homosexuals, that's their right but that ends the moment they step into the secular arena.
