It's gotten a touch tangled over the weekend, so here with a cogent and concise summation of the whole Congress vs. Contraception flap is Steve Benen, to my mind one of the absolute best bloggers out there. He recently moved to The Rachel Maddow Show blog from Washington Monthly, and he's my go-to guy for quick, accurate analysis

"War on contraception" is too narrow. It's an all-out war on women. The Thugs also want to repeal the Violence Against Women Act. Next up, a law banning women from wearing shoes.

I'm too tired tonight to make a concise statement other than this: I do not want to live in a country where someone else gets to tell me what I can and cannot do to keep my body safe.

Said it before, I'll say it again:

These guys always START by repealing Roe v. Wade. Ask them what they want the day after it's repealed - and that's when they unreel the laundry list that makes you realize they jack off while reading The Handmaid's Tale (as your tag ably conveys).
