Susan G. Komen Foundation decides to not drop funding for Planned Parenthood, maybe. I dunno; the wording is that they'll continue to fund "existing grants", so they may not renew the grant next year or somethin'. Much better analysis

Ha, too little too late, the damage is done. I chipped in yesterday to Planned Parenthood, and I'm grateful I'm such a tightwad that I never paid out for the Barbie-pink crap anyway. (Which I told the Komen folks in my email.)
My only regret is that this now taints two of the neatest YouTube vids out there: the Pink Glove Dances, One and Two.

(Yes, I know the "reversal" is probably just weasel words for "We'll have to come up with another excuse to deny the grants," but lots of people won't pay enough attention to realize that.)

Whatever good Komen may have done in the past, it's all pissed away now. I'll never buy another pink ribbon and my funds will go to the ACS and PP directly. If your charity wants to get involved with politics, fine -- my money will do the same.
