Unfortunately, I find myself in that sort of position a lot, which is one of the reasons I've considered getting a Smartphone. I know that what they're saying is false, and I know I can find refutations for it, but I don't have Google in my head. "They did a study where..." and "I saw an article..." aren't convincing when you're dealing with someone whose head has been stuffed with lies. Being able to access Snopes and Politifact would help a lot.

Some of the comments on that video are...interesting. Especially the one suggesting that The Left has planted agents at Tea Party rallies to make the Party look ridiculous.
Which, of course, only reminds me of an exchange from Clue: "Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of the other guests?" "You don't need any help from me, sir."
Yeah, my husband confronted a person today who said that she's not voting to re-elect Senator Feingold (D-WI) because he voted for the Wall Street bailout. When my husband informed her that our junior senator did NOT vote for the bailout, she said that she wasn't voting for someone so fiscally irresponsible.
For the record, Senator Feingold: -does not sign Wisconsin up for pork projects (for every dollar we send to Washington, we get about 76 cents back) -has not accepted a raise in all his terms of office (since 1993) -has run his office under budget every year and returned that money to the senate coffers.
Yeah, his fiscal ideology makes him so out-of-place in Washington politics. K Street cannot buy him, which is why I'm voting for Feingold on Tuesday. -L.
