More fannish travel

I'd already decided that I was going go Finland for Finncon in Tampere this coming year (which means I'll miss Conterpoint, the 2016 NEFilk, since they're the same weekend).

And now I've just registered for IceCon 2016 in Reykjavík in October.

Add in Worldcon and it's going to be an expensive year for fannish travel!

Great! Hulda and I are planning on Tammerfors as well!

Likely not IceCon, though; we're planning on taking a family vacation in Barcelona (Eurocon!) instead.

Yeah, I thought about Eurocon but that would be really rough timewise and moneywise.

Air fares to Iceland when it isn't summer are relatively inexpensive. I've set foot in the country a few times while changing planes for Germany.

Of course, "relatively" is the operant term.

I suspect I wouldn't save any money given I'd have to fly from NY in the first place.
