The new toy rides like a dream. I'm still having a few issues with proper control and higher speeds, so I never really got off the green slopes, but it was FUN! Only went down hard twice and only one of those was my fault ( Read more... )

I still don't see where the antenna fits? You did say that you were getting back into Ham Radio right?

Yep. Going to a meeting of the Nassau County ARC tonight and hoping to meet people who can help me align the little QRP kit I built so that I can actually use it (turns out there's an active group of people there who are into portable QRP and possibly an interest in SOTA as well)

Great, maybe you should head out to http://www.sotawatch.org/summits.php?summit=W2/NJ-009 which looks to be your nearest SOTA summit. But do read the SOTA rules first.
