Methos is many things, as are we all. He'd just more honest about it, and Machiavellian about what parts he uses at particular times.

Now that's a great example of the mindset of a true survivor -- take pain and humiliation rather than leave a trail of bodies behind you when that's what it takes.

You know he'd have rather hamstrung them all and leave them castrated for the 'gators, but having the cops looking for a murderer would make his current goal harder to achieve.

Great story, with all the characters being very true to themselves.

I'm looking forward to the ending!

And yeah, he's a survivor, and I think he would have wanted to leave them for the 'gators, but needs must and all that.
