Man, I love your fic (yeah, this is about the sixth time I've said it but still . . .). Also, your ideas - the way Joshua died was a really neat twist.

A lot of people have played with the idea that Joshua killed himself to play the Game, and I like that idea, but I thought, you know, if his Imagination is really that strong, he shouldn't even really have to kill himself, now should he?

Oh, this is perfect. Love the characterization, and Joshua being bitter and young and Sanae trying to comfort him without egging him along. You wrote a perfect alive!Joshua, and Sanae trying to play guardian to someone who doesn't necessarily need protecting. Also, loved the part where Joshua was asking if the men were dead. Priceless and totally something he would do. :D :D Thank you so much!

Eeee, you're very welcome!! I've wanted to tell this version of Joshua's death since it occurred to me, so it was a perfect matchup. XD

That's definitely my favorite bit of dialogue. XD It's so Joshua, the wide-eyed sly snark not quite revealing the things he knows but making you wonder if he knows -- he's good at that.
