Oh, wow. I really like this! It's brilliant, and really true to both girls' characters. Even the abckground characterization of Renji is quite nice. I like how the themes tie together so easily. Awesome job.

Whoa. I think I just fell in love with a fic. I absolutely adore all the implications and the pairings that would tend to clash normally, but you make them fit so perfectly.

Thank you so much!! It was kind of the weirdest thing in the world to actually put all that in the header of the fic, because it all seemed to flow so naturally while I was writing it. XD So I'm really happy you think it worked.

A clever way of writing 'vague', I say. I like the ambiguousness of Rukia's own feelings as if she herself doesn't fully understand what she really wants. Is it still Kaien? Or Renji? Or Orihime? Or even Byakuya? (Come to think of it, is it really Renji->Rukia and not Renji->Byakuya? Argh! You do it on purpose, don't you? Kubo Tite, is that you in disguise?) XD

And I also like the Renji-Rukia conversation, saying things without actually saying them, pussyfooting around their feelings and the supposed-to-be-awkward-but-somehow-not situation of their friendship.

XD! I'm glad you enjoyed my vague. That's what I wanted to get across -- all the missed chances that are what-ifs almost as much as lost loves, because it's not always easy to tell what you want. It's not like Rukia has been pining for Orihime, but there's something there that could have been.

I was really pleased with the way everything turned out, even though it was so weird, especially between Rukia and Renji, so I'm really very happy that it worked out for you. XD
