I think I know. I've had my suspicions for the last few days concerning this and Sonic's recent behavior regarding his.. encounter with Shadow and the mistletoe only confirms it.

Yes, it does, doesn't it? I can't say I'm really all that surprised some how. You remember how Sonic acted after the Ark Incident, right? Under the circumstances, I'm not saying it meant anything more than his being shaken by a friend "dying" on him for the first time, but it was certain the start of other things I noticed, but didn't put much thought into afterwards.
