the last ten minutes of school.

we had a great conversation in clark's class about the legalization of marijuana. the best part was that i as exercising that right during the conversation. it RULED.

As much as I hate to agree with other people, your first two respondants were correct. The use of the word 'right' in this context is wrong. Now, if you were to say you were 'excercising that proposed right..." then it would be allowable. Still not a hundred percent accurate, but allowable.
