I saw this title, and I held my breath.

Because I love haiku, love poetry, and want to know more about Shuusaku/Torajirou.

Obviously, I didn't hold my breath all the way through, because I'd probably be passed out, but - this was lovely. Torajirou is -real- here, despite the tiny amount we know you've brought him to life. I can't help but wonder how he would have interacted with Akira, if he was modern-day ~ they seem similarly contemplative, although Torajirou's less driven.

The haiku were gorgeous. It makes me so happy when I see fen writing poetry (as I'm vice versa to that) too; there's so much beauty, in this fandom's writing in particular, that I'm sure it'd be breathtaking - as here.

Thank you, I'm very glad that you liked the haiku! I've always been curious about Torajirou too, which is why I'm glad ontogenesis's prompt gave me a reason to write about him. I do imagine Torajirou as being similar to Akira, at least in being very well-behaved and very respectful of go and its traditions, but I agree that he doesn't have Akira's ambition, which is perhaps the crucial difference between Torajirou and Hikaru as well.

*flails* That is really, really awesome. The haiku were a nice touch, and the entire piece was beautifully mellow. ♥

This is excellent--but poor Shuusaku (or should I say Torajirou?) I like the formal tones in this, and the strong poignacy that runs through Shuusaku's thoughts. Just lovely.
