I'm not sure I have enough HTML hearts to give you for this, but I'm gonna try. :)

I have a giant weakness for Nathaniel and Velanna (paired or gen, I don't care), and not enough people in fandom write Velanna. So this is AMAZING on a lot of levels, just for existing, and for being a genuinely awesome story besides. Your Velanna voice sounds spot-on; I totally buy her reluctantly caring about/respecting/liking Nathaniel this way. I could read about this Velanna forever. :D

Awesome story! Yay!

Thank you so much! ♥ I adore both Velanna and Nathaniel (and I ship them like FedEx), so when I saw that there was virtually no fic about them, I figured I would just have to write a bunch myself. ;) I'm glad you liked it!

I approve of your goals, as I would read a million fics about Nathaniel and Velanna. \o/

Yay! Well, if you're interested, I've written several other stories about them which can all be found at my FFN profile. :)

Thank you! I'm so pleased you liked it even though you don't care for Velanna. I've always felt that at least one possible reason for her fandom unpopularity is because BioWare shafted her a bit on the character development front. You can get an epilogue screen saying that she eventually changed her attitude on humans, and singlehandedly defended a human village against darkspawn, etc--but just reading a blurb after the fact has far less of an impact than actually watching it play out. So whenever I write her I try to dig a little deeper into that gradual shifting of her attitudes and behaviors toward humans.

Thanks again for the awesome comment! :D
