Oh, ever since I noticed Uhura standing next to Sarek on the bridge, I'd hoped they had a moment like this. Thank you for writing it, it's so perfect!

You did such a great job with her observing the subtle mannerisms, thinking back to Spock to help her gauge this Vulcan, so it really felt like Spock was present in the fic even though he wasn't actually.

I totally didn't think it was a coincidence that they had Sarek and Uhura standing next to each other during that one scene, hehe. And I like to think that this little fic takes place right before Sarek goes to talk to Spock in the transporter room. I would have loved to see Sarek and Uhura interact in the film, but maybe in the sequel. ;)

That's good to hear! I felt a little weird labeling it a Spock/Uhura story when he wasn't even in the fic, so I'm glad it didn't come across too awkwardly or anything.

This was so lovely. I had to hold back a few stray tears. Sarek is one of my all time fave characters, and he plus a little Spock/Uhura make for a really good fic. Great job with this. <33

Aww, thank you! I'm one of the newbie fic writers who knows almost nothing about TOS, so it's good to know I didn't mess up with Sarek. Glad you enjoyed the fic!
