okay, with 3 and a half minutes left on the clock, this is only a really really really quick update. For anyone who didn't know, I be in NZ right now! Queenstown was fun, and all the scenery is spectacular! Found a place that looked suspiciously like Lothlorien, but it couldn't have been.

Be back in Oz in two days :D

Unfortunately no, unless I'm short enough to be counted as a hobbit, lol. But omigoshomigosh, my lil sis and I went horse riding in Queenstown, and lil sis got to ride on horse that was actually in the movie! He wouldn't move quickly though, lol.

Well given that the exteriors for the Lothlorien scenes were filmed in Queenstown... it very well could have been. (Wiki tells me that it was film at Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown)

Nah, we were nowhere near Lake Wakatipu...we did go there, but we didn't see anything that looked like Lothlorien there. It was just that the trees where we were were so tall and they were all covered in moss and the ground was carpeted with leaves and moss to the point that it squished and sprang back when you stepped on it, just like a carpet should.
