Moriarty definitely won this round. It couldn't have gone better for him, excepting the fact that Sherlock faked his death instead of really dying. I'm quite curious to see how Sherlock and Molly managed to pull that off. It's not like they made that section of the sidewalk out of nerf or something. Hopefully the actual explanation won't be disappointing ( ... )

Oh, I totally agree that John loves Sherlock. Maybe not in a sexual way, but certainly in a best friend way. Mycroft has that sib thing where he has to love Sherlock even when he's at his most annoying, and Mrs Hudson has an almost grandparentish way of unconditional love and forgiveness. But Lestrade and John put up with Sherlock's bullshit and really, John only does it because he wants to. In fact, John is really the only one who gives Sherlock orders that he obeys. "Say thank you".

Now, fic rec! Metisket has some great Sherlock, and her FMA Crazy Ed is awesome, too.

Oh yeah. "Infiltrate" has always been one of my favorite fics. I've been trying to find some appropriately well-written angry make-up sex, but it's surprisingly hard to come by.

I think it was probably having all literary affectation and distance stripped away, just hearing the words delivered in such a powerful way by Martin Freeman.

Me too, absolutely. It really packed a punch.

Martin's so good in that role. His experience in comedy really comes in handy, and his acting chops are now really sophisticated. I can't wait to see him as Bilbo.
