[Marco should find (or have found) his gift when he woke up, on the table next to the bed. Two wood carvings each about the size of a hand, one of a phoenix and the other of a koi (which apparently is what Japan has used to represent himself). They're super detailed because Japan is good with this shit, though it also might explain away any cuts or roughness with his hands the past few weeks that he had called clumsiness...
THAT ASIDE. Japan's actually in the other bedroom right now, thinking about a lot of things. He's been wondering if it's better not to say some things, but after thinking and yesterday, he's realized it will only get worse if he says nothing and it gets to Marco some other way.
But announcing it on this day, he's really horrible, huh... From where he's sitting on the edge of the bed, he lowers his head into his hands, closing his eyes to finish up a few thoughts.]

[Marco's likewise decorated the room with all the many origami zoo animals. Here's to hoping you really like animals as much as you say Japan.]
Oi! Bushido! [Brings him tea and a light breakfast in bed. Light because Marco is not big on nest areas having crumbs, but Japan is at least as much of a neat freak, so it's fine.]
Merry Christmas, eh? [Hands over a wrapped up red and blue scarf with the Whitebeard symbol in white all over it.]

[He sits up super quickly at that, blinking away the rush from it and accepting the scarf with both hands. He honestly did like all the animals, it was super cute (and who knew you could make one piece animals with paper, so cool!) but he's feeling a little guilty to be treated so well, too.
Still he bows from where he's sitting.]
Merry Christmas...! Ah... Thank you, Marco. ...Did you see where I left yours, as well?

[He takes refuge in that hug for a moment longer. How could he word this? He kept wanting to say things like he's not good for this sort of thing, Marco shouldn't think so highly of him, and other things like that, but... He selfishly wanted to learn to be better. Pushing away like that before had been fine, but now that they were close, he didn't want anything to go anywhere.
Still, now even something like a hug was too much for the guilt he was feeling, and he pulls back and looks away. He's so dramatic]
Ah... It is about Greece-san and Turkey-san... [That's a horrible place to stop, but he's still thinking, trying to find out how to say it best]

[He places his other hand on top of Marco's, sandwiching it together. He can probably feel Japan shaking out of nervousness (he's prone to that sob) now.]
B-but, I thought, "Perhaps if there is anything to make sure Greece-san understands I would have for the sake of his life, it is to k-k-kiss him"... [No his thoughts don't stutter, just him, and he tightens his grip]
A-and so, w-without thinking much more than that, I did, and then I ran out, and... ah... there was nothing with him after that...

[He shifts his hands a bit so it's more like he's holding it with both of them]
I-I thought it would-- ah, I mean... I meant to show that I would have done it had I known they would jump at the suggestion. I-I mean, if I had to, of course...

Thanks love.

[He holds that scarf close for a minute before setting it next to him and actually returning that hug, holding on longer than he normally would.]
Ah, Marco... [A pause.] I believe there are some things I should say.

Bushido... when will you start believing me that it's not your fault nor responsibility? They're grown men, and their own countries as well.
Or is this something more?

...It is more.

All right, talk to me. I'm always listening, eh.

Ah, when Greece-san revived, I visited him of course, but... ah...

You kissed him. Greece... And not from mistletoe.

[Tempted to take his hand away, but just stays frozen for now.]
And you haven't spoken to him since then.
