Lucius looked up at the tapping of his study window. Usual post did not come this way. He opened the parcel with mild surprise, a rare cognac. Lucius untied the note from the owl's leg, but stroked his hand over it's feathered head.

"Wait for my reply," he said to the owl, and sat at his desk to write.

Dear Millicent,

Thank you for the gift; perhaps you will join me here at the Manor in the near future to taste it.

Your offer will not be forgotten. I am trying to locate Greyback, but if anything reaches your ears through Ministry channels, I would be greatful if you could inform me.

As for the campaign, I am hopeful that I shall soon be removed from the registry. This shall be a great move forward.

I shall let you know if anything pressing arises.
