Molly was busy bustling about the kitchen, trying to get dinner on the table before their children arrived, and she had to agree that after their talk with Ron, they needed a family meeting to discuss things. As she had told Ron last night, she didn't want to have to worry about the things their children were doing and how it might affect Arthur's campaign, as she had better things to do than keep tabs on all of them, such as planning her and Arthur's vow renewal. They hadn't had a chance to sit down and talk about it in a while, and she knew she'd have to reel him in for another chat soon if they were going to have it in July.
"Chicken cacciatore, dear." She replied, setting the last place before checking on the meal.
Ginny hadn't wanted to be the first to arrive but at the silence of the house as she stepped into the front room she knew that she was. Ginny knew her parents wanted her to come around more often but the red head always seemed to forget when she got to busy with her research, clinic, and work. Hoping they wouldn’t be to upset with her Ginny fixed her hair before calling out.
Arthur smiled then stood to greet his daughter. He was glad she was the first one to come, though they had things to talk about she was always a breath of fresh air to the meetings. He made his way over to hug her before speaking again. "Your mother is in the kitchen cooking up dinner. We're having chicken!"
Charlie had a busy day... he was not only working his two jobs, but he was taking care of the dog and the house by himself with his wife at training camp. He was exhausted, to say the least! He darted home from Romania to put the dog away... even though Katie hadn't wanted him to take Con to work with him, he didn't see much of a choice. And luckily the great stupid beast hadn't managed to agrivate any of the dragons by his mere presence. He'd tossed his work clothes aside and dressed in a new, unburnt t-shirt and jeans before flooing to the Burrow. Stepping out of the fireplace, he called out, heading for the kitchen. "Home, Mum, Dad... sorry if I'm late."
Molly paused in what she was doing when she heard Charlie floo in behind her, and she offered him a smile. He wasn't late as Ginny was the only other one here besides her and Arthur, and besides, dinner still had few minutes before it would be ready. After wiping her hands on a towel, Molly moved to hug Charlie, holding him tightly for a few minutes.
"You're not late, dear. Your father and sister are in the other room. Why don't you join them while I finish up dinner?"
Percy arrived directly from work, Apparating to the edge of the garden and heading for the back door. He hated to admit how much he was looking forward to his Mum's cooking, as he hadn't yet eaten today. He was less eager for the conversation that was sure to accompany it, though. The Ministry was still abuzz with gossip about the anniversary gala, gossip in which his own family figured a little too prominently.
Gossip would blow over. What they had to do now was ensure that nothing else happened to draw negative attention to their father's campaign.
He reached the door and rapped on it, considered a moment, and went ahead and let himself in. Surely nothing could be going on when they were expecting all of their children for dinner. "Mother, hello," he said, setting his case beside the door and divesting himself of his cloak. "Charlie. How is everyone?"
Ginny returned her father's hug with one of her own. Just being back at the Burrow was making her feel better. Ginny knew she should really make more time to come and visit.
"It smells like chicken cacciatore," Ginny said smiling up at her father before placing a kiss on his cheek. "I am going to go say hi to Mum ok?"
Ginny gave Arthur a huge smile before moving past him and into the kitchen. Ginny quickly spotted Molly, Charlie, and Percy which made GInny's smile grow even more. "Mum I am here. Hi Percy, Charlie! Is Katie going to make it Charlie?"
When Percy had entered, Molly had greeted him with both a hello and a hug, before answering that she was just fine. A smile crossed her face when she saw Ginny join them in the kitchen, and she turned to give her daughter a hug. It had been too long since she had sat down with Ginny one-on-one, and she made a note to arrange something in the near future.
"Hello, Ginny, dear. Is everything well with you?"
Ron apparated at the gate, and walked down the path, hands in his pockets, with his shoulders slumping. He felt the black sheep of the family; just about every one had a lick in on him. He sighed heavily; the work with Charlie had been hard and he had thrown himself into it to try to forget all of the ear pulling and lecturing he had gotten. Never mind that Charlie had given it to him good. Ron knew he needed to just keep himself occupied until he could figure a way out to win that stubborn girl back.
He opened the door, sticking his head in and catching a whiff of something that smelled wonderful. The place was noisy with voices, and he just decided that for once, he was going to try to be slightly inconspicuous. He took off his robes and moved towards the kitchen to hug his mother.
"Can I help at all, Mom? Do you need a hand with anything?"
Fred and George arrived practically on Ron's heels and strode into the house. "Good evening, everyone!" Fred grinned, announcing their presence to everyone.
"How are things going?" George asked, the general population of the house.
"Ronald?" Fred asked, wrapping an arm around his little brother's shoulder. "How's the head?"
They followed Ron into the kitchen. "Evenin', Mum," they said, in unison, each giving Molly a kiss on the cheek.
Arthur smiled as he entered the kitchen, it had been far too long since he had seen the kitchen full of red heads. The entire family was back together, an event he hoped to repeat. Just because of the incident at the gala, and the fact he was running for minister didn't mean they had to change. They were still a family and he intended to keep it that way.
He waved to Ron then shook his head at the twins, "Soon, your mother is almost finished. Don't try to steal any, nearly got my hand earlier."
Ron didn't duck the hug; at least, Fred hadn't tried to rub his hair.
"I'm fine, but my ears hurt a bit," he answered, a grin beginning to form. He felt better, being here with his family. It all seemed so normal, and the bustling about added to his sense of belonging. Seeing that his mom was not going to let him know what she needed, he moved from under Fred's arm, and took a few long steps towards his dad.
He wasn't sure if his dad wanted him or not. But he felt like he owed him, and if his dad needed him for anything, it was the least he could do to hop!

"When do we eat?" Fred asked, already hungry.
