(on two sheets of parchment)
Draco,
Malfoy bollocks carry true. You have a great deal of chutzpah to ask this of me at this juncture.
Nonetheless, of course I will aid you. However, I will not intervene with Remus on your behalf. I will neither ask nor pressure him to aid you in light of your over-all attitude and opinion of him. I have placed your letter of request on his desk. That is all the more you can expect from me in that quarter.
Fortunately for you, he is ridiculously soft-hearted. I would wager you will get your statement, though were it me in Remus' shoes and Potter in yours, I would tell the prat where he could stick his request with a great deal of sadistic relishMoreover, if you find that you need the intervention of said Boy Saviour to pull said bollocks out of the Ministry fire, Remus might even be willing to speak to The Annoying One on your behalf, presuming Potter's innate Gryffindor Saving People Thing does not extend to Ministry-harassed Malfoys. Dear Miss Weasley,
While I appreciate your busy schedule, I must emphasize how important this is. Surely you can find a few moments in which to make this statement. I assure you, I would be most appreciative.
Sincerely Draco Malfoy
P.S. It is your name, and one which Severus insists calling you. I believe the diminutive far too familiar.

Ginny Weasley
P.S. Severus is the only one who can call me it, Malfoy, and that is only because we are very close friends.
I, Remus Lupin, do verify that Draco Malfoy was taken into the protection of the Order of the Phoenix after his escape from imprisonment and torture at the hands of Voldemort's followers. I further confirm that I was the individual responsible for locating him at that time and bringing him into the Order's temporary headquarters at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he remained voluntarily for the duration of the war.
By these actions, it is my belief that Mr. Malfoy demonstrated clearly his disapproval and distance from the ideals and practices of Voldemort and his followers.
I hereby certify, under penalty of the law, the above statements to be true and accurate to the best of my knowledge.
Remus J. Lupin
Sighing, Remus pushed the statement to one side after signing his name to the bottom. He wasn't at all sure why Draco was even asking it of him; -- correction, why Draco was asking Severus to ask it of him. Despite his own Order of Merlin for his part in the war, Remus couldn't help
