Molly had been upset that she had needed to work late on Valentine's Day, but she had known that Arthur would understand, and now that she was on her way home, she was looking forward to what her husband had planned for the two of them. She had gone shopping for him earlier in the week, though she wasn't planning on giving him his gift until after dinner, as she was starving. As she entered the Burrow, the smells from the kitchen invaded her nostrils, and a smile crossed her face when she realized that Arthur had not only made dinner, but had created a romantic atmosphere as well, complete with candles.
She smiled brightly and squeezed his hand again, trying to get him to look back at her.
"Oh, Arthur. I love you too. You know that. Is there anything else?" She asked, unsure as to why he was so nervous to tell her that he loved her. However, it was part of his charm and she wasn't going to tease him about it.
Arthur squeezed her hand then looked up at her, "No, it's just looking at you, and realizing just how bloody lucky I am. You were a Prewett... you could have had anyone you wanted... even Lucius Malfoy. Instead you married me, i don't understand why sometimes but I'm glad you did."
Arthur sighed then looked her over, "Look at you, you're beautiful, and me? Just a slob. Yet you married me."
"You're welcome, Arthur." Of course she wouldn't let him win on this matter, as if she did, she would be allowing him to degrade himself, and he truly was a wonderful man.
She perked up more when he announced that he had gotten her a present, and she tried to remember where she had hidden his, as she had been counting on exchanging presents after dinner.
"You didn't have to, love, though I got you something as well."
Arthur chuckled then forked a peice of ham and bread then dipped it into the cheese. Once he ate it he smiled then stood, dispearing into the living room, before returning a few minutes later, "To start you off right, dear, I got you this!
Arthur sat down across from her, looking at her hopeful. It wasn't rings at least. He smiled then started to work on the ham again.
"Arthur, love? What's all this?"

"Arthur, I married you because I love you and I think you're attractive. I never wanted anyone else but you."
She shook her head when he sighed and claimed that he wasn't attractive, as that wasn't the way she saw it.
"You're handsome too, you know."
