The end of the school year was always a hectic time, between exams and papers and students who would rather be outside in the sunshine than cooped up in a classroom. Still, there were certain days that Stella loved- today, for instance, she'd had an early class with the First years, and then because of NEWT and OWL exams, didn't have another class until 11pm with the 4th years. So, she had taken the opportunity to run some errands in Diagon Alley. First Gringotts, then to a small specialty book shop to pick up a hard-to-find book on Mars that she'd ordered.
After window shopping for a bit, Stella decided to grab a bite to eat at the Leaky Cauldron before heading back to the castle. Entering the pub, she blinked for a moment to allow her eyes to adjust from the brightness of the day to the dimmer lighting of the Leaky Cauldron. It seemed that the usual 'lunch crowd' had somewhat dissipated, but Stella chose to sit at the counter, rather than being at a table by herself- she didn't enjoy taking up a whole table when she was on her own. Besides, she'd had more than a few good conversations with people she'd met sitting at this very bar. One never knew who you would run into at the Leaky Cauldron!
