It had been literally ages, however long they were, since Terry had been outdoors-- outside his flat even. But today he was feeling 'adventurous' and 'daring' - or something of the sort. And it was thus that he found himself facing the counter of some market shop in Diagon Alley. He didn't really remember how he'd gotten there, but dismissed the thoughts and focused himself on avoiding the white tiles on the floor.

Step only on the brown! Blitz insisted.

And so Terry obeyed. At least until he rammed headlong into some poor shopper - some poor slightly familiar looking shopper. Peering through a haze of spinning stars and into a careening room, Terry thought he was looking at - but it wasn't. "Parvati?"

Parvati was just examining a nice looking tomato when she felt something - or someone - running into her. She caught herself on the display, preventing an avalanche of red vegetables, and spun around to see who on earth had just careened into her.

Whoever it was, he knew her. He had called her by name. Parvati recognized him but didn't know him. A classmate, and Padma's friend. Boot, wasn't it?

"Yes?" Parvati replied, still feeling a little annoyed from being pushed.

Terry rubbed his head, one eye closed, the other trained on Parvati. It was strange to see Padma and at the same time, know it wasn't her. Well, they did look mostly alike, but Terry could tell - maybe from the way she eyed him or how she held herself - that it wasn't Padma. That this one was different.

Anyway, she sounded annoyed. Padma's annoyed tone was different. "Sorry." Terry blinked, opening his left eye and staring. "I'm Terry Boot, by the way. I..."

He unbuttoned his jacket, smiled weakly, and rebuttoned it. "Know your sister."

Right. Terry. He smiled at her, fidgeting with his jacket. Parvati thought he was a little odd... no wonder he was friends with Padma. Regardless of the fact that he had just plowed into her, he seemed alright.

"Yes, I thought so," Parvati replied, giving him a small smile of her own. She switched her weight from one leg to the other, unsure of what to say next. Usually she was quite good in social situations, but Terry seemed different.

"I'm Parvati." She held out her hand, feeling the introduction unnecessary, but it seemed like the right thing to do.
