Ministry Officials Taking No Chances
Officials Announce New Plans for Preventative Measures Aimed at Stopping Another War

Ministry officials are leaving no room for the grass to grow under their feet as they endeavor to see us safely through to a new era of peace in the Wizarding World. Though it has only been a little over one day since Harry Potter delivered us from the evil threatening our world, new legislation is already in the works which would provide the Ministry with an effective means of monitoring insurgents to prevent future such uprisings.

This new legislation will require that all suspicious persons register their whereabouts with the Ministry and include various other measures such as curfews and periodic wand checks.

"It is of the utmost importance that we take swift preventative action in these days immediately following this war," Cassandra Cauldwell, spokeswoman for the Ministry, told reporters in a press conference Wednesday evening. "After the last insurrection of this nature, many were released on good faith, having claimed to have been coerced by both magical and mundane means. These same individuals have been responsible for assisting in You Know Who's return. This measure will prevent a repeat of such disgrace."

Confidence in this new measure is high. As of 7am this morning, Ministry officials have opened offices in Nottingham and Hogsmeade, specifically to handle advanced registration of those individuals under suspect, even though official sanction has not yet been given. This registration process will include known and suspected suporters of He Who Shall Not Be Named, any who have been accused of such activity in the past be the claims verified or not, werewolves and other dark creatures living amoung us, as well as all relatives or known associates of the same.

Until the measure is fully approved, sanctions such as the curfews expected to be enforced, will not be in effect. However, the Ministry urges the population to be aware of your neighbors and friends. Anyone suspected of such terrorist activity should be reported to Ministry officials at a registration office or the main offices in London immediately.
