Friday Evening, April 28th - Hermione & Tara's apartment

Hermione was sitting at home, patiently waiting for Tara to come back from having dinner with her ex-girlfriend. Of course she wasn't the least bit worried. Why would she be worried... this was just the girl who had crushed her lover's heart and nearly her spirit as well

Tara came home a little after eight, and wasn't surprised to find Hermione waiting for her.

Hermione very nearly couldn't contain her relief that Tara hadn't brought the ex back with her. Hermione knew she would probably have to meet her eventually, but she was very glad it wouldn't be now, when she was already so off balance.
"Tara! Love! You're back!" She threw her arms around her lover in a very constricting hug.

Tara hugged Hermione back, half-way amused to be getting such a response. Granted, with the way Tara's been thinking, Hermione's fears probably weren't totally unfounded.

"Did you miss me, 'Mione?" she asked, smiling slightly at the other woman. She still felt a little ... off-kilter, but things were getting better already.

"Of course I missed you! Did you, umm... have a good time... at dinner?"

She didn't mean for the question to come out quite so hesitant, but she couldn't help it since she wasn't sure what answer she was hoping for. If she'd had a good time with Willow maybe she'd be wondering why she was dating Hermione at all... but if she'd had a horrible time maybe she'd be wondering what she was doing in a relationship at all... Hermione desperately tried to rein in her thoughts, but it didn't really work.
