SPN 5x17: episode reaction.

The song reference in the title should really be taken as a warning label. Wow, not only was that maybe some of the most intensely misogynistic television I've ever seen, but it was also one of the worst last-scene storytelling fumbles I've seen outside of Stargate Atlantis. I'm sorry, if you felt the need to reiterate the supremacy of Dean's manpain that intensely, you still could've skipped the pastede-on love confession* and just done a single-perfect-tear driving scene under Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah" like every other writing team does when they run out of ideas.

I can't be the only person writing over Season 5 from episode 9 on, right? Some of you have to be doing it too.

All I can say is, I sure hope the fanplosion some of you had over 5x18 indicates it's a lot better than this bullshit.

* Seriously guys, when your lone wolf hero is declaring his quasi-inarticulate love and (despite the previously on montage) I have to pause to go Wiki the chick he's talking to because I can't remember who the hell she is or why Dean (or I) should care? PASTEDE ON.
