Oh my god, that was delightful. I can't remember the last time I saw a scifi film that was funnier on purpose than it was by accident, or that gave such high-quality fan service. yay! I felt very much the same way. A stallion in need of breaking! My god. Though for me, the scene that led to irrepressible giggling (or, the most irrepressible giggling) was the "you must emotionally compromise my younger self" speech. Emotionally compromise. It's the world's best euphemism.

I thought that this fic was a really interesting look at Reboot!Kirk's possible backstory, and although the story doesn't pull punches, it's incredibly hopeful. I'd check the warnings in the Table of Contents first though.
