There and back again

You know, if "there" = a fifteen hour-by-bus long journey across the state line to the country next door (or beneath us, on the map). It wasn't like I went that far, but =p It was one of the few trips I've ever taken so far without my family coming along, and it WAS the first time I've gone so far without it being school-related.

Oooh Readercon! I never knew there would be a READERCON, I found out about it a while ago and still am slightly baffled about how it would go down, so if you want to ramble more about it please do!

And meanwhile danke so much for the comments on the dwg, particularly to the comment that made my poor overused brain melt with noncomprenhension I was wondering whether I should say anything but you said it with far more insight than I ever would!

Edit: You did say you were Amy K over there right? (Brain = still melted)

Yeah, I'm Amy K on DWG, and oh gosh I'm so glad you're not angry about that comment -- I posted it in a rash moment of irritation, and then later was biting my nails and freaking out about possibly starting a wank-worthy argument on the DWG board, of all places. *turns red* There's no need to thank me; I just found myself blown by the comment in a similar way, because it's not even like "To Bear" (which btw I totally loved ;)). There's no logical way to somehow blame Kitty or Ash for Lizzy/Darcy not getting together 20 years ago. *shakes head*

I thought it was very well thought out, and that kind of comment is always better *not* from the author when it just looks like sour grapes!

Although couldn't help but think that if Darcy and Lizzy had sorted out their differences 20 years ago...there would be no story?!

LOL no kidding; plus, there's a lot in their characters that makes me believe that had things not taken a lucky turn in the book, it could very easily have taken 20 years for them to sort things out!
