Okay, I don't know wtf is up with my Post an Entry page but it's beginning to annoy the hell out of me. It won't allow me to see my userpic, doesn't use autopredict on my tags, refuses to let me preview and isn't autosaving. GAH. All of my RP journals are fine, I don't get it. I've been sitting here refreshing for like ten minutes ( Read more... )

lol, wtf

I had all mine taken out, plus two other teeth.

In one go.

This one isn't as bad as last month's! lol couldn't sleep for two nights D: But it's turning my mouth into a strange new place that changes quite regularly.

Holy god, that does sound traumatic. Knowing my dentist, she'd have proceeded to drop them into your hair.

Ewwww. D: And they never would've been found, because my hair eats worlds.

YES! That's totally it. Needles just shouldn't be in your mouth, it's WEIRD.

Hah, yeah. I've never had this problem before, but when I was younger the needle phobia was immense and they had to gas me, so... maybe I really just can't work anesthetic properly? IDK. It was weird though, I kept apologising.

Tell me about it D: D: Apparently they've not to be removed, but - I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing! /o\

Oh god, the dentist. *shudder* Mine is so nice and sweet, and I've got great teeth that barely need anything, but I still dread going to her. The electronic cleaning thingy with the sharp point always causes my eyes to tear up, even though I'm not actually crying. And even though I warn them beforehand that I have this physical reaction to the thingy, but that I'm truly fine, not crying, etc., they're always like, "Ohhhh, she's crying!" And I want to die of embarrassment for "crying" at the dentist at age 31 ( ... )

My dentist is lovely too! My new one, I mean. I think she really is new, too; it's one of the reasons I started laughing instead of crying. It seemed so bizarre and unfair on both of us.

Fillings without anesthetic is only topped by labour? WHOA. (Although labour would obviously last longer, heh... XD). And I don't think I could ever willingly try to get cavities filled without anesthetic, not after that tiny taste of it.

In terms of intensity, yes. If I had to put them on a "terrible pain" spectrum, I think things would come between fillings without anesthetic and labor, particularly because the filling process is fairly quick, and I can think of things that are worse on a general level (like nausea and diarrhea, LOL). But anesthetic-free filling and labor are both extremely intense processes, so in that way they are similar.

And oh yes, labor lasts longer, at least it did for me. Twenty-four hours, YOWCH (although only 10 of those hours were really bad...but 10 hours is a really long time to have extreme pressure twisting your insides every three minutes...and I did labor anesthetic free, too)!

Yeah, I don't think that any future cavities I may have will be done without novocaine...although it's tempting, just because I hatehatehate being numb!
