Fidelio: *enters house after work* Jemmy!

Jemmy: Yo.

Fidelio: *seizes cat, attempts to insert in carrier*

Jemmy: No.

Fidelio: Too late. You're in the box and the door is closed.

Heee! So familiar. When we had Sophie, she could go in the carrier, make a U turn and shoot back out in a second, despite being a big tubby thing.

Jemmy's tactic to avoid entering somehow involves converting length to width, without changing position. For the not-exiting part, he just expands to fill all the available space, sort of like a yeast dough raised in a closed pan.

In this case the process was aided by the placement of a large cat in a small carrier; he has trouble doing this in one of the larger ones. But their abilities when they either don't want to enter the damn thing, or don't want to leave it, are amazing.
