I love the casual feel of this- everything is so matter of fact for Spencer, he lays it out on the table, but in reality he's not as sure as he seems. You keep it simple without losing anything important, and I really appreciate the complexity of the dynamic between Ryan, Brendon and Spencer.

Oh, jesus christ. I'm so glad I stayed up and read this, even though it's so late here now. This is lovely--they're such messes, both of them, and the way you point out that sex isn't everything, it works so well. Awesome. Also Ryan at the end, ahahaa.

i feel i should perhaps read this two or three more times before i have a coherent comment for you. Essentially my reaction is fluttery flailing, because &boys;, and all of their little interactions pointing to how long and how well they have known each other, how much they love each other minus the romance. i'm also especially fond of jon getting snappy about ryan being handled.

but the romance is fantastic, too, quick and slow-blooming at the same time. so lovely. beautiful work!
