Another epic one this week. Listen folks, there's just nothing I can do about it until Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper agree to stop being so gorgeous.
Ooooh, so good. I love these. A friend of mine is abroad at the moment and has just gotten into Who, so when he comes home we're going to have a marathon session - these picspams are making me wriggle about in my seat with impatience, I want to get back to Nine
( ... )
Ah - thank you for explaining that! *sigh* I wish I had another language to revert to to mess with people...all I've got is mystifying my husband when I use words like 'ficathon' and 'picspam'.
Yeah, it always tickles me when they do it - my brain doesn't take to languages quite so well so I'm always fascinated with bilingual folks. Of course, these days, I'm sure geekspeak must be an official language somewhere...
And again, I would like to take the oppourtunity to point out, here, that Rose smacks him on the ass as she runs to the door.
She does?! (runs to rewatch this episode again)
Though it's a bit bizarre how the Doctor thinks it's hilarious when Rose mentions Mr. Sneed copping a feel while she was passed out...haven't quite reached the Possessive Jealous Phase, then.
Nah, I think he was just laughing at the sight of Rose telling off Sneed. He knew he'd picked a companion with some backbone. Or "brains and spirit," as they say.
I do have one complaint with this episode and it gets me every time. Rose's dress is not even close to right for the time period. It's exactly what I would expect a 19-year old girl to pick out of a huge wardrobe of stuff, thinking, "well, this looks kind of Victorian" but NOT what I would expect the Tardis to have in her "England, 1857" section. Maybe that's what they were going for, but it annoys me.
Thank you for doing these! They're wonderfully funny and entertaining.
She does! In a very sort of playful, 'come-on-hurry-up-let's-go' sort of way, but you know she was just looking for an excuse. ;)
You are so, SO right about Rose's dress. It reminds me of the outfits they keep in the dressing rooms in the Olde Timey Photo Shoppes in Virginia City near here, honestly. Which is to say, I'm surprised she isn't clutching a bottle of Jack Daniels with a six-shooter tucked into her garter, or something.
When I was like, 15 or so. I found it in a box in the basement the other day. I showed it to my husband, who stared at it for a minute, and then asked how old I was. When I told him, he said he felt like a perv. Hee.

The fanboying was seriously cute, but I'm not sure it'll get me to try Dickens again... (Don't try tale of two cities either.)
Maybe he grinned about the coping a feel less for the action than watching her lose any out of time nervousness in a major rant?
That grin is magical. Just all those pics of smiles leave me smiling!
