Just watched this all the way through (we'd actually rented it from On Demand several months ago, but never finished it), and as fun as Andy Serkis is it's just a damn shame that David was not able to be in this movie. David in the same movie with Simon Pegg, Jessica Hynes, Tim Curry and Christopher Lee (among many, many other recognizable faces

What's even worse was that he gave it up to do Rex Is Not Your Lawyer, I'm pretty sure. And we all know how well that went. It still makes me a bit angry that show wasn't picked up not because it would have meant David in LA for an extended time or anything, given what crap they put on tv around the same time.

I do want to see this movie at some point. Maybe when I gets my netflix back.

I pretty much felt the same way watching it - it's a very fun flick, but with David in it it would have been fantastic.
