I cannot decide, I have everything it would take to make either, and Mr. gin was delighted last night when I mentioned the prospect of either:

Poll ETA: Went with the chocolate-banana pancakes per the voting, and they turned out AMAZING. Since the recipe is actually from one of our pregnancy books, I've posted the recipe below in case anyone else would ( Read more... )

But I don't like pumpkin, so I've probably skewed your result.

I do not understand all these people who "don't like pumpkin." It's not natural!!! ;)

Yeah, no pumpkin for me either. Chocolate banana though = yum.

I'm horrified! How can you, of all people, not like pumpkin??????

(Yes, I already gave myself one vote for pumpkin. :) I am a pumpkin addict. Which is odd, really, because I don't like any other kind of squash...)

Heh. Pumpkin is okay but I have to admit that if given the choice I would choose something else every time. Sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and acorn squash all beat pumpkin for me.

it is much too early where you are (it's 10am here).

bananas rot. pumpkin in a can does not. (or at least it takes much longer)

so use the stuff that'll go bad first. see, logic! pumpkin pancakes next week.

Ah, but see, I already opened the pumpkin last weekend when I made pumpkin muffins, and it's in a plastic container in the fridge, so I should really use that up!

Even if I don't make the pumpkins this morning, I'll make more muffins with it later this afternoon...

I've made this recipe for pumpkin butterscotch fudge that is really yummy, if you want to use the leftover pumpkin another way. It sounds like a weird combination, I know, but it's really yummy and pretty easy.

I love pumpkin, but it's not a breakfast food. well... except maybe pumpkin pie and coffee for breakfast the day after thanksgiving (with the whipped cream in the coffee instead of on the pie :), otherwise I think of it as an evening food so pumpkin crepe for dinner instead of pancakes for breakfast.

See, I think of pumpkin as an anytime food. :) But the chocolate-banana pancakes seem to be winning (and the recipe looks a wee bit simpler), so I think I'll go with those.

Ah, see. We had an early majority with pumpkin. Oh well. Though now I want to make pancakes!

ETA: I totally made pancakes! Blueberry. And then when I ran out of those, chocolate chips! Thanks for putting the idea in my head. :)
