Sure enough, Mr. gin agreed to take a look at the Blu ray player this morning, pressed one button, and it works like a charm. *rolleyes* So I have FINALLY SEEN THE DELETED SCENES AND BLOOPERS FROM MY FAVOURITE MOVIE, FER THE LOVE OF GOD.

Agree on pretty much all points. I was totally confused by that school scene. It wasn't really part of Charley's arc that the cool kids DON'T accept him. Yeah, he's hiding stuff, but he holds his own. He doesn't just become geeky under pressure. He'd avoid distractions entirely while in srs research mode. He wouldn't even be hanging out with them. And Amy just abandoning him? Doesn't make sense for her either. She hates those guys and thinks the world of him

I KNOW! That's why this scene pissed me off, she was SUCH an OOC bitch in that scene! Really, she's going to side with Mark and Ben in this one and tell Charley to get lost, REALLY? Considering, like, a couple hours later she shows up at Charley's house to beg him to tell her what's going on?

Because that's not going anywhere near my canon TYVM. My head canon says Peter was fucking with Charley and just wanted an excuse to grab his junk. No way Peter would stand for something so uncomfortable every day.

Yes, this is my belief as well. I think he was just enjoying making poor Charley as uncomfortable as possible. :)

And yeah, there was definitely two scenes combined, there. I have no idea what was going on...either Amy was originally supposed to be with Charley when he first meets Peter (which makes no sense), or David brought up the rashes again when they were filming the "tribal by nature" part

Huh, I rewatched, but forgot to check about Peter's trousers. I think I was distracted by Charley's chest. Oops?

I have more thoughts, re: Amy, rewatching the deleted school scene. I don't think she's being bitchy. She seems to be flipping out because Charley HIT Mark, and that he was acting so weird (he tells her they can't hang out anymore at his place, after all. But I think it's the unexpected violence that makes her go, dude just go away and chill.

Also, useless deleted scene indicates Charley's shoes are skate shoes? Not basketball? In any case, rewatching the actual non-deleted scene made me wonder about Charley's mom's description of "they sleep out on the street for them." I'm trying to imagine Charley geeking out for SHOES and having trouble. What a weird character trait, and how oddly misused the not!purple shoes were.
