I'm scouting around for Eric/Sookie fic.

I'm so ashamed! But I'm not really cheating on the Doctor and Rose, because A: I can't see myself ever writing it, B: I'm only really looking for it because I KNOW we're going to get there with the show, but I'm impatient and horny, and 3: So far, I've not found any fic approaching the quality of Doctor/ ( Read more... )

Now this is an awkward one. I'm going to rec you this fic because it's awesome, but as it follows the book series from Eric's POV not Sookie's, strictly speaking it's not canon to the show on several points.

Personally though, book!Sookie has a bit more brains, and book!Bill has a bit more personality so I figure that's a bonus. And there can never be too much Eric so.....

Eric/Sookie fic you say?

I am extremely picky about the show fic, because especially after the second season, there was a lot of it, but it tended to write Eric as a much darker manipulative bastard than he truly is, and Sookie as a child. But there are a number of VERY good book fics.

The fic Eric by DeeDee, as already recommended above is the quintessential fic. And it shouldn't leave you too confused, because it leads you through the story from his point of view. To me, this really and truly feels like it could be exactly what Charlaine Harris intended - and we are just lucky enough to read it.

After that, Let Love In and Hope Is A Thing With Feathers are another two amazing book fics written by Terri Botta. A good long read - with a HEAPING TON of both romance and sex. They depart from the books after number eight.

Death Eatin' A Cracker is also a VERY GOOD long read. It has a lot of plot, including mystery, a very smart independent Sookie, as well as great Eric/Sookie angst and romance. It also picks up after ( ... )

Ooh, I'll be bookmarking this list. I've read a couple of hot PWP's based on the season 3 office scene but there's so much stuff out there I'm not sure where to start.

I'm obsessed with the Nine/Rose love at the minute, but one day I really must go look for some Eric/Sookie rec lists out there in internet land ;p
