TOTA, initial thoughts

Starting watching last night, and made it halfway through part 3 before dozing off in my comfy chair, so I'll have to watch that one over tonight.

I'm loving it, of course, and the show has a great deal to offer other than just David Tennant, but I was rather surprised by two things that I need to mention:

1. Mr. gin LOVED it, and pretty much ( Read more... )

'This is a boy who has no idea that he's sexy, which of course, as these things go, makes him very sexy, and which makes me feel a bit like a dirty old woman, but not enough to get too bothered about it.'

Seconded, fid-gin! At 48 I should know better than lust over someone in his very early twenties...but I don't, as evidenced by my gorgeous 21 yr old fiance (who says I'm not a dirty old woman, I just appreciate beauty in all ages...and if that definitely doesn't make me a dirty old woman, I don't know what will!) *iz completely ashamed of herself...NOT!*

I have said it before and I shall say it again: whatever you've got going on, you need to bottle it. You'll be a millionaire!

Oh, I wish I knew, love! LOL

I work in a large store, and a couple of the young guys there have asked me out too (one is 24,drop-dead gorgeous and as sexy as hell...and I have to admit I was tempted!)and I have the girls asking me how I do it...especially after they met Matt over Christmas. He's got that rock-star kinda thing going on...the easy charm, butter-wouldn't-melt smile, and come to bed eyes, a voice that would make an angel weep - all wrapped up in a sexy little body. I can safely say the girls were jealous LOL

See? See?!

I'm coming to realise that mr_luna has a problem with mr_tennant because I know that he watched an episode or two of TOTA when I was watching it the first time around, and I saw him get sucked in by it, but when I was describing the show to my parents on Saturday, he was quite dismissive. Feh. It's a good show!

And yes, wee David makes me feel like a very dirty old woman, especially when you get to see his bum. Also, I love his pre-I-moved-South accent. <3

Yes, I may have made a tiny squealing noise when we got to see wee David's bum. I just wanted to spank it. Heh.

The accent is quite adorable, even if there have been moments when he really gets goin' with his manic talkyness where I'm like "Uh, what? Run that by me again at half-speed, please."

I'm quite proud of Mr. gin and how tolerant he is of the Tennant, really. This past weekend he put up with Randall and Hopkirk AND TOtA, and actually enjoyed both of them a great deal.

I thought it was brilliant too...

I love your description of the development of his sexiness. Because that's exactly how I see it too.

and I'm the same age as tardismate and I would SO definitely if I ran into 21 year old DT (and a 28 yo and 38 yo...). If that makes me a dirty old woman, then so be it.

It is the total Scottishness of the whole show that makes me laugh. Im from Edinburgh and totally loved the show when it was first shown on TV here. Loved David Tennant since then and was pleased as punch when he got the TARDIS gig. Love his accent, love his wee bum. Love the mad 90's fashion
Question I want to ask is...
~Is there anything not to love about the man, or am I taking it a tad too far.....?

Yeah, that wacky 90's fashion is something else, innit? I remember my high school boyfriend in the early 90's wearing tie-dye, and me thinking it was just the coolest thing ever. :O

I have not yet found anything not to love about him...and I'm REALLY LOOKING, so yes, I believe there just isn't anything.

I am also another one of those "dirty old women" who would be ecstatic to help Campbell out with that virginity problem of his. I am so grateful that Mr Tennant is such a fine actor. It makes convincing my husband to watch his work that much easier. He can appreciate a fine acting job. I can appreciate that and *other things*. I just have to remember not to drool too much.

Yep, word. Mr. gin is pretty tolerant of my Tennant addiction and watches a great deal of these shows with me, because nearly all of the time they end up being highly engrossing and, more often than not, I'm the one that's like "Okay, work tomorrow, let's turn it off and go to sleep" and he's like "Ooh, just one more chapter, please!!!"
