I didn't really think about this because this is Dean, but yeah, it has to look and feel a bit strange

I'd always gone with the assumption that "oh, everything is fine" - then I realized, in order for her to have *chosen* Dean, it had to be something she didn't normally do. And it was fun taking a sort of outsider POV of the situation. Glad you liked it!

I think you have a time glitch here, Dean would have been at the lodge 2 1/2 years ago not the previous spring for Lizzie to be 2 1/2 in this story :)

Blame it on my pulling that section from a story I started that never went anywhere, and not paying attention. (*sighs*) But thanks for pointing it out - I fixed it.
