It does look like we're headed towards Sam's fourth(?) death, doesn't it? Or even if it's not a death, it's a journey that Sam is taking without Dean, and he can't even reassure Dean about how that journey will end.

This story was a good idea. Dean hardly shows his fears during his waking hours, so you make it come through subconsciously. Nice.

Yeah, it does look like *something* has got to happen - being that the trials are changing him "on a molecular level," whatever the heck that means!

I'm really kinda hoping God!Chuck shows up and sets things right. 'Cause the thought of either brother dying AGAIN makes me go "Srsly?"
