I imagine the folk who prefer to see John as a full-on hero, with his ass-kickin boots on 24/7, will be frowning a bit - but we'll get there! In the meantime, I'm allowing him just a *little* time to be overwhelmed. Glad you're enjoying the ride!

I've always thought he was overwhelmed in the beginning -- grieving and horror-struck and just trying to process it all -- and you captured that perfectly!

Thank you! He'll be becoming more of the John we know, over time. With a few subtle differences, maybe, and that'll definitely be fun to play with. :)

I re-watched ATGB again the other night, and it got me thinking about how that little boy would feel when Pops didn't return home from "work". How he was devastated, and it played out as anger - and yet he loved his father so dearly that he would still hum "their song" from time to time. It seemed perfect to bring Henry back into John's life at a time when he's emotionally nuked - and we'll see how well that goes. Or doesn't go. \O/

Thank you! I'm pondering the third part right now. I know I want to do a small piece from wee!Dean's POV fairly soon, but I think there's another step or two coming ahead of that. It's such fun to play with!

Thank you, hon! I haven't hit on anything that gets all my creative juices going so completely, in quite a while! There are *so* many things to explore with this storyline, with every possible emotion. *flails*
