I posted this last year -- was very pleased with the way it came out, at the time, but I hadn't quite decided who the "small man" was, or what his background might be.  But now that we've seen 8.12...  Take another look at the story, if you feel in a mood to do that.  And tell me if you agree with me that we might have just learned something new
